We're excited to introduce Nested Replies to our community pages!

What's New?

We've updated the way replies work in discussions. You can now reply directly to a specific reply, not just to the top-level post, making it easier to follow conversations when multiple things are being discussed at once.

Previously, all replies in a thread lived at the same level, which could make it hard to tell who was responding to what. With nested replies, your response stays visually connected to the reply it belongs to, keeping related exchanges grouped and easier to follow.

Improvements

• Reply to a specific reply.
• You can now click "Reply" on any individual reply to respond directly to it. Your response will appear indented and nested underneath, connected with a visual line so the context is always clear.
• Collapsible threads.
• Nested replies can be expanded or collapsed by clicking the vertical line connecting them. This keeps long threads tidy, so you can focus on the parts that matter to you.
• Load more nested replies.
• If a reply has many responses, only a few are shown initially. You can load more at your own pace without disrupting the rest of the thread.
• Supported on mobile.
• The nested reply experience is supported on mobile, including the reply editor and the visual thread indicators.
• Deleted replies stay in context.
• If a reply that has nested responses under it gets deleted, a placeholder remains so the thread structure stays intact and the responses still make sense.
